The Election is Over!!!!!

Thank God the election is over. There is so much nastiness, lies and evil going on that Satan must be genuinely happy with what he has started. What happened to the good old days when people might disagree but still worked together or respected one another?

I feel bad for the kids and ask myself what are we teaching our children these days? It sure is not about the Commandments of God which states we should Love God and Love our neighbor as ourselves. It is more about money, hatred, division and who is in control.

What about our leaders, Ouch!

According to Romans 13:1, even when governing authorities are corrupt or selfish, Christians are still called to “submit” to them because all authority ultimately comes from God. I take this to mean that resisting them is resisting God’s established order.

However, this submission does not mean blind obedience , and Christians can still peacefully protest or seek change through legal means when laws contradict God’s principle. There were situations where individuals like the apostles in Acts chose to obey God rather than human authorities when faced with unjust commands. In many cases they suffered for it but held onto their faith.

Some key points to consider:

· God’s ordained authority:

The verse states that “all authority comes from God,” implying that even corrupt leaders hold their positions by God’s design and resisting them can be seen as resisting God’s order.

· Not blind obedience:

While submission is encouraged, it does not mean unquestioning obedience to every command, especially if it violates God’s laws.

· Peaceful resistance:

Christians can still seek change through legal means, petitions, and peaceful protests when they disagree with government actions.

· Example of the Apostles:

In Acts, Peter and John demonstrate this principle by refusing to stop preaching the Gospel despite being ordered to do so by the Jewish authorities.

In conclusion, if you are a true Christian and follower of Christ, you would heed to his commandments.

1) Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, Soul, and Mind.

2) Love your neighbor as thyself.

The 2nd Great commandment of Loving thy neighbor as thyself did not say to Love Thy White, Black, Asian, Chinese, Hispanic neighbor, etc as Thyself. It says Love thy Neighbor as thyself.

On those two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
