What is Everlasting Life?

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. 26 Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

John 11:25-26 (web)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life .

John 3:16 (web)

As we encounter the different translations of the bible, we see the wording slightly change. Even though the (web) version states eternal life, the (kjv) also states everlasting life and there is a difference.

Eternal Life was promised to those who died before the coming of Jesus and Everlasting Life was promised to those after Jesus finished His work on the cross, which is us.

We do not fight against flesh and blood. Our fight is spiritual. We have a physical body to do the work of God, which will eventually end when He calls us home, but our spiritual bodies continue to live through eternity.

As the bible states, all who believe will have Everlasting Life.
